Wow, Ted Neeley....he was so good in JCS. The only time I saw this on the big screen, I guess I was nine, this whole scene had such an impactbut especially when they started showing the paintings of the cruxifiction. Again, WOW.
Love Godspell too! 1973 was great for awesome movies of faith. Wish we had some like these now... They touch our heart and soul and uplift the spirit at the same time. Thanks for reminding us...
At the end he says "take me now, before I change my mind." Being fully human as well as fully divine, I certainly believe that was a very strong temptation. I'm glad he didn't change his mind.

What a powerful scene. The music and the images are incredibly moving.
